He is the Head of Global Funding at Meridiam and joined Meridiam in December 2013.

Sergio has directly been involved leading multiple landmark transactions in the infrastructure sector (including significant acquisitions) and is responsible for structuring and implementing the financing strategy for Meridiam’s global portfolio.

Prior to Meridiam, Sergio worked for 15 years in the Project & Structured Finance department of BBVA, structuring, advising, and lending to greenfield and brownfield infrastructure projects, ultimately serving the role of Global Relationship Manager to a portfolio of key clients in transportation, construction, and concessions industry.

Sergio graduated in Finance and Business Administration (E-2) from ICADE Business School, Comillas University (Madrid, Spain) and has carried out an Advanced Program in International Finance at IEB (Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles) in collaboration with the London School of Economics and Political Science.
