Mete is COO for Africa, in charge of coordinating the team and investment activities in the continent. He is also a member of the Executive Committee.

Mete joined Meridiam in 2013 in Istanbul where he was involved in the development, structuring and closing of 4 major healthcare PPPs in Türkiye.

He then moved to Paris office in 2016 where he participated in the development, structuring and closing of several energy and transportation infrastructure projects in Africa.

In 2019 he moved to Dakar office and supervised the operational team while coordinating investment activities in the region as West Africa Director and later on in the continent as Deputy COO for Africa. He moved back to Paris office by the end of 2023.

Mete holds bachelor’s and master’s degree in civil engineering from Bogazici University (Istanbul) and is a 2022 Marshall Memorial Fellow.
